I feel indifferent after reading this book, I feel as there is almost too much left to the imagination to a point. At the end of this book we are given too many loose ends with not enough tied knots. Throughout this book I had many different expected scenarios how this novel would end and I was extremely far out from what actually occurred. I believe many readers who have fought with depression and have had friends that have struggled with depression can strongly relate to Hannah and Clay's story throughout the story. I also believe that many people may look at Hannah's story as a inspirational story and even though she could not carry on, that her story could be. I believe this story could be much more explained from the point-of-view of a film. A film would describe the film and I believe would be able to close the doors that were left open.

Something I learned from this book, is even though it being fictional, is the unknown aspect of someone's life that you never see. I've always believed this, but reading this book and the way Jay Asher describes it and can tell it to us explains it more throughly. I believe any other reader would receive the same message that I received from the book. I strongly believe that any reader that enjoys suspenseful books would enjoy this book. Although the ending is weak, it leaves more to the mind for you to imagine. Reading this book, you often forget it's fictional because you imagine these as real-life scenarios as ones that you imagine you were in. I believe that was Jay Asher's intent for the reader's mind to experience a real-life scenario. As I read this book, and experienced what I would do and how my life would change so drastically if I was in Clay Jensen's spot; most importantly, on how I would react.
